PRISON ISLAND Prison island is the middle island of three visible island from the stone town sea shore. The prison was built in 1893, it was also used as Quarantine Hospital and apart from prison ruins you will get an opportunity to meet the enormous tortoises brought from Seychelles by Sultan Said Majid who was a ruler of Zanzibar around 1820, Down there ,you can swim, Snorkeling and relax on the beautiful beach.
